Legislative and Grassroots Lobbying Disclosures

Lobbying Disclosure Laws

Federal and state lobbying laws require frequent disclosure of lobbying activities (view schedule), and certain political and charitable contributions. The Honest Leadership and Open Government Act (HLOGA) requires companies and individuals registered as Federal lobbyist employers and lobbyists, respectively, to certify neither have violated gift and travel rules of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate.

The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) requires persons acting as agents of foreign principals in a political or quasi-political capacity to make periodic public disclosures.
